Sport Central Coast
The Voice of Sport for the NSW Central Coast

about us

This page sets out the aims and objectives of the Sport Central Coast organisation.

In 2018, the Office of Sport released the draft Central Coast Sport and Active Recreation Plan, after an extensive collaboration process. This plan has 6 key outcomes:

  • increased participation

  • improved access

  • fit for purpose facilities

  • integrated performance pathways

  • valued regional sporting events

  • effective collaboration

The key outcome of Effective Collaboration is vital to the success of the plan. The development of a regional representative group to act as the “voice” of sport was a strong theme through the community consultations.

With that aim, and with the amalgamation of our Council, the Office of Sport, Central Coast Council and the Central Coast Academy of Sport have worked together to initiate this group and recruit the inaugural board.

Our Board consists of representatives from the Office of Sport, Central Coast Academy of Sport and Central Coast Council, 7 community sport representatives and 1 community organisation (Central Coast Sports Council).
